You can now buy NFTs using credit cards!
At Fractal, we are driven by the mission to bring web3 gaming to the masses. Today, we are excited to announce that you can now buy NFTs using credit cards on Fractal.is. We have partnered with Paper to bring you the smoothest credit card payment experience in web3.
Core to Fractal’s mission
We believe web3 gaming is the future. In order to onboard more players into web3 games, Fractal is building products so players can have a more frictionless gaming experience on the blockchain.
Earlier this year, we launched Sign in with Fractal to address the first hurdle in a player’s web3 journey. With Sign in with Fractal, players can create a wallet using social credentials under 15 seconds, while enjoying the enhanced security of a non-custodial wallet.
Now, we are solving the next obstacle in the player’s journey: enabling easier on-ramp into NFTs by accepting credit cards as payment on our marketplace, and soon, our launchpad.
What are Gaming NFTs?
Gaming NFTs are in-game assets with real world value. Unlike traditional gaming, these NFTs can be bought and resold freely, giving economic power back to the players. They also help to align the incentives between players and game developers: game developers create value for their players, and players benefit from rising popularity of the game through NFT ownership. Owning gaming NFTs is the first step towards a player’s web3 gaming experience.
NFT buying process is broken
Purchasing NFTs today can be a frustrating process for new-to-crypto players. Players need to the following before they can make an NFT purchase:
- Buy cryptocurrency from exchanges (like Coinbase)
- Undergo KYC requirements (and sometimes be subject to days of waiting period)
- Transfer funds to a crypto wallet
Buying NFTs shouldn’t require you to jump through hoops. By partnering with Paper, Fractal now accepts credit cards for NFT purchases, so you can buy NFTs as easily as you would in traditional e-commerce.
How can I buy NFTs using credit cards on Fractal?
Select “Buy with Credit Card” upon checkout. Simply provide your credit card, and billing information, and you will be all set.
After purchase, you will receive the NFT in your wallet. You will also receive an email confirmation to keep track of your purchase. Rest assured — Fractal will never save any of your payment information.
