You can now buy cryptocurrency using traditional payment methods on Fractal
In August, we launched the ability for players to purchase NFT via credit cards. Today, we are expanding our support so you can buy cryptocurrency using traditional payment methods with Fractal Wallet (aka Sign in with Fractal). We have partnered with Stripe to bring you the most seamless and secure crypto buying experience.

Web3 gaming is the future. To onboard more players into web3 games, Fractal is building user friendly products so players can have a frictionless gaming experience on the blockchain.
Earlier this year, we launched Fractal Wallet (aka Sign in with Fractal) and the ability for players to purchase NFT via credit cards. These products help to address the first hurdle in a player’s onboarding journey into web3 games.
To further provide a seamless onboarding experience, we are launching the ability for you to buy crypto using traditional payment methods like debit / credit cards, ACH. This way, you will never need to visit an exchange like Coinbase to purchase crypto again.
How does buying crypto within Fractal Wallet work?
Simply log into Fractal Wallet, select the type and amount of cryptocurrency you wish to purchase, confirm your identity and voila, your wallet will be instantly topped up.
You can save your info to your Link account, so your subsequent purchase is an effortless 1-click experience. Link accounts are powered by Stripe.
What is coming next?
We will be diligently working with Stripe to expand cryptocurrencies you can buy, regions you can buy from, as well as weekly transaction limit.
FAQ
Q: Which cryptocurrency can I purchase?
A: Currently, we support purchase of ETH, SOL, USDC (ETH), USDC (SOL).
Q: I would like to use this feature, but I don’t see it as an option within Fractal Wallet.
A: Buying crypto with traditional payment methods is currently only available to US residents located in the US, excluding HI residents. NY residents will only be able to purchase ETH and USDC (ETH).
Q: Will I be subject to any KYC requirements?
A: Depending on the purchasing amount, you will be subject to varying degrees of KYC requirements. This will be performed once per account so your subsequent purchases will be a 1-click checkout experience.
Q: Is there any transaction limit?
A: You can purchase up to $1,000 of crypto per week. We are working with Stripe to increase the weekly limit in the near future.
Q: What are the fees?
A: There will be 1) processing fee ranging from 1.00–3.50%, variable based on transaction amount and payment method, 2) fixed 2% conversion fee, and 3) gas fees to process the blockchain transactions.
We always recommend using ACH or debit card for the cheapest fees.
