TLDR: The Fractal products you know and love, including the Fractal Launchpad, tournaments, Fractal Wallet and our powerful developer APIs will all be brought to Ethereum. Support for other EVM chains is coming soon. By partnering with Fractal, a single partnership and integration unlocks all the chains a game studio will ever want and need, without all of the complexity.

The power of blockchain gaming

Blockchain provides clear and obvious benefits to both game players and game studios. To players, blockchain offers true ownership and the potential to capture and retain value from their investment of time and money. To studios, blockchain offers a way to create open economies, which can grow to much larger sizes than their closed predecessors.

Blockchains — don’t make me choose

Game studios which have decided to build their game on the blockchain currently have a difficult choice to make. Blockchains include (but are not limited to) Eth, Solana, Avax, IMX, Polygon, Sui and Wax. They must choose from dozens of such chains, each with their unique advantages and community. For example, Ethereum has massive liquidity and community size. But despite these benefits, Ethereum is expensive and slow, so games must devise strategies to scale their game. Solana, on the other hand, has an amazing community around its fast and cheap blockchain but it’s only a fraction of the liquidity and market size of Ethereum and EVM chains.

Most games settle for just a single chain (eg: Eth), but then must settle for the benefits of that single chain. Other games choose a multi-chain strategy (eg: Eth + Solana) to get the liquidity benefits of one chain (Ethereum), but with the scalability of another (Solana). However, in doing so, these games pay significant integration and support costs. Integrating with one chain is already a huge technical undertaking for a game studio, let alone multiple chains.

Go multi-chain with Fractal

Fractal wants to help game developers go multichain, but without the technical and logistics headache. Historically, Fractal has offered support for Solana exclusively. This narrow focus has allowed us to refine and build out our product suite. We’ve achieved amazing success on Solana ($20m+ in sales across 50 of the best games and strongest communities in crypto). Now, Fractal is ready to expand to chains beyond Solana, starting with Ethereum L1.

A single partnership and integration with Fractal unlocks all the chains, both current and future. Partnering with Fractal allows the games to focus on what they do best — building games. Games don’t need to worry about missing out on the latest blockchain technology. It also allows games to bring their fun game to the largest possible audience, because games can now more easily tap into the communities of the various chains.

Ethereum launch partners

We are particularly excited to welcome Ethereum-based games into the Fractal family. Our initial set of Ethereum launch partners comprise some of the best games in crypto:

Tournaments

Each tournament will have a $3–10k prize pool and will be free to play

Summary

We believe blockchain is the inevitable future of gaming because of the obvious benefits to both player and studio. Games which choose to build on blockchain currently struggle to choose between the chain offerings, and more chains are still being invented. Fractal is here to help. When games partner with Fractal, they future-proof their blockchain strategy and reduce the cost and complexity of building their game on chain. Game on frens. WAGMI.
