We are stoked to introduce the Fractal x Ev.io Fractal Cup II tournament!

Happy new year! We are bringing the popular Halloween Bash/Ev Fractal Cup back. Rack up zombie kills in your browser, and you are guaranteed to earn SOL for every kill you make. Do it on a Macbook laptop if you want!

The tournament ends when the $5000 (~211.6 SOL) prize pool runs out. Lucky players will also find WL tokens for Ev’s upcoming mint with Hut 8 on the map, during the game. If you’ve missed the Halloween fun, this is the perfect chance to hop in!

About Ev.io

Tournament Format & Dates

During the Ev Fractal Cup II event, all players can earn in the Ev Fractal cup game mode just by playing with a Fractal Wallet, without holding Ev NFTs or anything else in the Fractal Wallet.

To do this: go to Ev’s project page on Fractal, click “Play Now”. Log into your Ev account and link it with the Fractal Wallet in your profile. Pick the “Survival / Earn” game mode to start.

If you are already an NFT holder and use another wallet, you’ll want to switch to Fractal Wallet for this event (no need to transfer your NFTs).

You can then start killing zombies and earning! The Fractal Cup II event is a PvE 4-person co-op survival. Kill zombies and bosses, survive as long as you can. Finding a 4-person team (ask your friends) is a good idea because teams which coordinate will earn the most. Here are the patch notes in more detail:

Survival: health no longer regenerates in survival but you will find health and armor packs on the map
Survival: every 10 waves, your earn rate DOUBLES (goes up incrementally with each wave e.g. at wave 5 you earn 50%+)
Survival: waves are harder with stronger zombies
Survival: doubled the resurrect time
Fractal event: whitelist tokens will start to drop at wave 10
Fractal event: whitelist drop chance increases with each wave past 10, doubling at wave 30 and maxing out at 3x (wave 90)
Fractal event: equipping a Hut 8 1st edition character NFT (or non-NFT skin) will increase your chance to see whitelist tokens by 10% per player in the room with the skin. e.g. with 4 Hut 8 skins, your chances of seeing whitelist token is 40% greater
Crouch is no longer instant

The tournament will start on Jan 17, 2pm PT and continue for 5 days, or end when the $5000 prize pot is “used up” by all players, whichever comes first.

~~ FULL EARN UTILITY FROM THE NORMAL MONTHLY PLAYER POT ~~

PLUS a 10K sidepot, from which only HUT 8 NFTs can earn from! This means each NFT could in theory earn back $33 (more or less depending on skill & dedication) from playing just from the sidepot. We'll likely distribute the sidepot by greatly amplifying earnings on Hut 8 NFTs for a short period of time.

This is a low-supply, high-value mint for earn-enabled NFTs, with the price set well below floor. Good luck on acquiring your Hut 8 Schism NFTs!

Points, E earnings and SOL

Players are ranked on the Fractal leaderboard by “Points”, which they earn based on their in-game performance (namely, killing zombies and surviving!)

Fractal Wallet players competing during the tournament will receive e earnings for every kill they make. This can be cashed out for SOL and will be sent to their Fractal Wallet when the tournament ends.

There’s an earning cap per day, which will change based on how quickly the prize pot is earned.

Notes from ev: the earning cap will be many times more than what the current 24-hour earn cap is for standard earn modes, since it’s an enormous amount of money distributed in a short period of time.

Anti-Cheating

Fractal and Fractal game partners reserve the right to disqualify tournament players in the event of cheating.

It is considered cheating and is strictly prohibited to:

Tamper with the game to gain an advantage over other players
Use third-party software / macros to automate gameplay
Use third-party software to modify game data
Share your wallet or account
Tamper with your reported score
Exploit a bug to gain an unfair advantage over other players

Cheating will result in disqualification from the tournament and forfeiture of any leaderboard prizes.

Fractal also reserves the right to terminate cheaters’ accounts and prevent entry in future tournaments. Fractal reserves the right to update its anti-cheating policies.
